Soil & Fertilizer Basics
The right soil mix is the foundation of plant health. Using the wrong type can cause waterlogging, nutrient deficiency, or poor drainage.
Key Tips
Succulents & Cacti: use sandy, well-draining mix — never regular potting soil.
Tropical plants (pothos, monsteras): use airy mix with perlite & peat.
Fertilize every 2–4 weeks in growing season (spring–summer).
Reduce or stop fertilizing in winter — plants are dormant.
Yellow leaves often mean nitrogen deficiency — use a balanced NPK fertilizer.
