Sunlight vs Shade Requirements
Plants differ hugely in their sunlight requirements. Placing a shade-lover in direct sun can scorch it, while a sun-lover in a dark corner will slowly decline.
Key Tips
Bright Direct Light: 6+ hours of direct sun — for cacti, succulents, herbs.
Bright Indirect Light: near a window but no direct rays — for pothos, peace lily.
Low Light: 2–4 hours of ambient light — for snake plant, ZZ plant, cast iron plant.
Rotate pots every 2 weeks for even growth on all sides.
Clean dusty leaves with a damp cloth to maximize light absorption.
